Girls' Trip!

Evelyn suggested a 'Girls' Trip' and after trying to procure tickets to "Wicked" with no success, the next best thing was "Hairspray".  Personally, I LOVE big hair -- afterall I did graduate high school in 1984 -- so while "Wicked" may be fitting as well, "Hairspray" was a perfect choice for me.

Wait a minute!  That's not right....

Oh yeah, our DD, Tony!
It takes a real man to drive a 'short bus' full of women.

China Kids Playdate

My good friend, Maris, and I started a local China Kids Playdate a couple of months ago -- nothing formal, just a monthly gathering at the Mandeville City Hall playground.

Three families showed up at our first playdate and we had a chance to meet some folks we had 'heard' about over the past few years. The girls were delighted to meet their new friends... there was even another Mia AND Emma there too!

I just wish Mia would have had a little more fun!

Who Says Tax Time Isn't Fun & Games?

Every March, we have a LaBorde Tax Weekend & Slumber Party -- Aunt Jeanne, Stacey and her kiddos, Adam and Anna, make the trek to Mandeville from Baton Rouge.  We all play while Tony does what he does best -- taxes!  Our fun filled day ends with Aunt Jeanne's famous Gumbo -- just like Memee used to make -- and a slumber party complete with facials and manicures. The next morning, Tony treats us all to breakfast at Louie's!

This year's weekend coincided with Mia's school fair which was aWESome!  The kids had a ball...
digging for treasure...

twisting like a pretzel...

and of course, chillin'...

Wait!  That's MY sugar!

How Time Flies!

I was going through my pictures today, deleting all the blurry ones and the ones that weren't great shots, and I realized I hadn't posted in FOUR months!  So I have to admit, I have a monthly reminder set on my Outlook calendar to remind me to update my blog -- AND I know I've hit 'dismiss' a few times and gone about my business, but how could four months have passed by?  So here goes, folks -- updates for March, April, May and June...  Looking over all our adventures, I now know why I'm so tired -- we've been BUSY!

Kung Hay Fat Choy

New shoes...

New clothes...

Beautiful hair...

New friends...

And a Dragon Dance!

Could you ask for more fun than this? Well only, if you get to do
fireworks... INSIDE! And that's just what they did. Imagine 30 kiddos
all jumping up and down on sheets and sheets of bubble wrap -- they
definitely scared any bad spirits away. As we say at our house,
"There's no ghosts, monsters or bad guys allowed at the Tulli House!"

Happy Chinese New Year!

Chinese New Year is the most important of the traditional Chinese
holidays. The festival begins on the first day of the first lunar month
in the Chinese lunar calendar and ends on the 15th day, when the full
moon rises. The holiday celebrates family, good fortune, respect and
prosperity for the New Year.

Watch Out World, Here He Comes!

Happy Birthday, Peter!

We finally celebrated Peter's birthday!

And yes, that king cake says 34!

All the Tulli's gathered to eat, drink and be merry. After dinner, everyone over 30 visited in the sunroom...

...while the younger Tulli's had fun playing in the girls' room.
